'Liath Luachra: The Great Wild' - an unintended spin on the iconic 'Alien' film tagline ("In space, no-one one can hear you scream").
Currenlty on a very reduced price!

I'm pleased to announce that 'Liath Luachra: The Great Wild' has now been released and is available through Amazon.
An 'arthouse' Robin Crusoe-esque rendering of an adventure in ancient Ireland's Great Wild, it's not exactly what you might expect
"Oisin Rides to the Land of Youth". Painted in 1936 by American artist Newell Convers Wyeth. it represents a more Anglophile view of Irish mythology that many non-Irish creators continue to produce today.

We’re spoilt for choice with gállain in Cork and Kerry. This one in the Cousane Pass doesn’t get much press because of it’s isolated location.

The Gaiscíoch Path
The rough-trodden path to warrior status. A scene from Ráth Bládhma where Bearach (a young boy) talks with the woman warrior Liath Luachra who explains that the path to warrior status – is not all it’s made out to be .

Today I'm writing an outline for Chapters 1-3 of ‘Liath Luachra: The Great Wild’.
The next in the Liath Luachra Series is actually a prequel to the current books. The character is much younger and far more feral and hence it’s a lot of fun to write.

A Dark Dawn on the Hill
It's almost a year to the day since 'Dark Dawn' - a free, online interactive story based on the Irish mythological Fenian Cycle, was put online.
I'm still very pleased with the final product

I dropped all my current work to spend a few days working on the series outline for this.
Writing for the screen is a very different to writing books - the need to incoprporate visual components far more impportant.
I'm actually quite enjoying it.
