@AngelinaReagan7 Also your "protestant majority" does not exist, religion is no longer a dividing factor but an excuse for unionists to continue their bigotry towards republicans.
@AngelinaReagan7 The "Republic of Ireland" does not exist, it is just Ireland, the ROI is used in sports to differentiate between teams but Ireland is the name of the country.
@RowanNey@Johny_Etwer@HotSotin The article isn't fleshed out in the English version but I believe they done several waves of evacuations during/after the war, before the Soviets took over the area that is.
@RowanNey@Johny_Etwer@HotSotin Maybe you're talking about Karelians? Which are still Finnish people so that might be the confusion. I wouldn't say it's recent, the idea of Finland is as old as most European countries identity. Whatever your "historical standards" are they're quite off.
@RowanNey@Johny_Etwer@HotSotin Ummmm actually Finland evacuated essentially all of the people from Karelia during the winter war, Russia inherited an empty space. It was incredibly important to Finland not to hand over several hundred thousand people because of their already small population.
@nijineko33@TBeetles@CaolanReports Community note says most came from Ulster which means nothing in this context, disingenuous way of implying most were protestant despite that not being true.
@Stradioti_UK 95% of the "Irish" nationalist accounts are made by Americans, trying to cash in, it's the same for most of the European "far right" accounts. Don't take this shit seriously. But the North of Ireland is still Ireland doesn't matter what border is drawn.
