I think people underrate how valuable Pogacar punch/general racing ability is for TDF GC. Just this advantage in 30s-2min power + intangibles means he can beat recent Jonas in GC with ~635/660 aSLP (hard day/unipuerto) while Jonas needs ~685/710 aSLP to have a chance against Pog.
