@MillsTwitch I remember last year Holliday was struggling against LHP heading into a game against a reverse splits LHP. (I think it may have been against the Nats). Hyde benched him. That was the perfect opportunity to give him some added reps but they decided to sit him for the platoon.
The most depressing thing about loving soccer in the USA is seeing the pattern of everyone not care, then misunderstand, then get hype, then clown on soccer once the USMNT lose, then just move on.
Repeat every 4 years.
The Lamar hate train is something to behold.
ESPN starts the day criticizing Lamar Jackson for not showing up to voluntary offseason workouts in years past… then 30 minutes later, he shows up, and it’s complete silence.
Then GMF starts complaining about the Ravens working too hard and lifting weights on Day 1.
It’s really a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation for Lamar and Baltimore.
"Do I think the Ravens acted in bad faith? No. Do I think the Ravens would have passed him on the physical if it was a low round pick in return? Yes."
"It seems like a lot of teams were bashing the Ravens for what they did, but not a lot of teams are jumping in..."
@AndrewBrandt gives his thoughts on the Maxx Crosby situation on today's Business of Sports:
The reason I don’t like Donald Trump is not because he’s a republican or conservative but because he’s a rapist pedophile piece of shit. Hope that helps.
It’s important that you understand what happened last night.
Last night, Stephen Colbert interviewed Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, a candidate who, by all accounts, is on track in the polls to flip Texas blue.
In response, Trump’s FCC reportedly threatened CBS if the interview aired.
CBS caved and pulled the segment, citing “financial reasons.”
In modern American history, no president has been more hostile to free speech than Donald Trump.
But censorship always backfires.
Here’s the full segment Trump didn’t want you to see.
.@BrettFavre With all due respect to one of the greatest QBs ever — I didn’t grow up knowing where the Packers played, what Lambeau Field was, or why people proudly wear cheese on their heads 🧀😄.
I watched. I learned. And now I get it.
That’s how @NFL football works. And honestly, that’s how the Super Bowl halftime show works too. It’s not about only watching what you already know — it’s about discovering what millions of your fellow Americans already love.
Bad Bunny isn’t “foreign” to the Super Bowl — he is America too 🇺🇸🇵🇷🎶. Different sounds, same country, same game.
The Super Bowl is big enough for frozen fields, cheese hats, country music… and Spanish lyrics.
That’s not losing tradition. That’s America showing how big the tent really is. 🏈❤️
And you should try Tembleque, Alcapurrias and Mofongo! Don’t be sad, be happy!
SNL just commented on ICE during Weekend Update:
Michael Che: "I get that ICE agents are people...allegedly...and they have a job to do, but at some point while you're pepper spraying old ladies or shooting at a nurse, do you ever stop to ask yourself, 'Are we dicks?'"
