@CardGameVillain I was looking at Yi and Vex for decks to bring my friends who are just learning, so im agreeing there. Its easy to understand the "sit there and play spells" gameplay for sure
@BasedPyramus Are you saying that $35 of each persons entry is needed to provide players with 1 card for participation? Because that's pretty insane claim.
$45 an hour for 20 hours, but we can forget about traveling, eating, housing, transportation to venue, etc. Yeah you're right😂
@BasedPyramus When did I say anything about a convention? Simply asking for better prizing has nothing to do with the event itself being a convention or not.
It's not better than most TCGs, id say its only better than a handful, Yugioh likely being one.
Im free to bitch about whatever I want
@TobiTCGV The thing is, I can understand card art for boxes and what not since you produce so much, but events don't need nearly as much population. Slap these into pre releases packs and print new ones for the events.
Maybe im undercomplicating it tho, youre prob right, im just salty lol
Uhhhhhhhhh how is this even a thing? Im paying $100 to play the event and getting the same card from the boosters? Top 8? 8 out of 2k+ and you get THE ALT OF THAT CARD.
I usually give benefit of the doubt but how did we go backwards 😥
Mats are cool, good addition!
Atlanta was fun, but Riftbound gotta figure out prizing. Feels like if you lose an early round day 1, or even two in the later part of day 1, despite making it to day 2, you will have a really hard time making top 64, where you're "only" playing for an invite. They need to
Im not one to care much about value but it really sucks to not get unique stuff for traveling to events. Participation is like a card to remember the event by and its not even special. Making the event less memorable before it even starts
@AndyCollectz Damn feels kinda bad to order from Gamestop but was only one in stock when checking.
Maybe Amazon restock and cancel gamestop in the future
