On the night of July 16, 2022, the pilot of an Antonov cargo plane reported an engine failure. Shortly after, the aircraft crashed west of Kavala, Greece, prompting authorities to cordon off the area for miles. Its cargo, weapons and ammunition, was linked to a Serbian arms dealer.
