हितेश लखानी नाम के एक व्यक्ति अपनी पत्नी के साथ डॉक्यूमेंटेशन प्रक्रिया के लिए कलेक्टरेट कार्यालय, इंदौर (मध्य प्रदेश) गए थे। उन्होंने लगभग 1.5 घंटे इंतज़ार किया।

जब उन्होंने विनम्रता से पूछा कि अभी और कितना समय लगेगा, तो उन्हें नज़रअंदाज़ कर दिया गया, जबकि स्टाफ का एक सदस्य इंस्टाग्राम स्क्रॉल करने में व्यस्त था।

इसके बाद हितेश लखानी नाम के उस व्यक्ति ने वही सवाल पूछने के लिए दूसरे अधिकारी के पास गए। इससे पहले कि वे अपनी बात पूरी कर पाते, एक महिला पुलिस अधिकारी उनके पास आई और बोली:

"चुपचाप बैठ जा, बक-बक मत कर। एक थप्पड़ मारूँगी, कुछ नहीं कर पाएगा।"

हितेश लखानी न तो चिल्ला रहे थे और न ही कोई हंगामा कर रहे थे। वे केवल धैर्यपूर्वक इंतज़ार करने के बाद जानकारी पूछ रहे थे।

सम्मान इस बात पर निर्भर नहीं होना चाहिए कि आप कौन हैं या कहाँ हैं। हर नागरिक के साथ गरिमा और सम्मान से व्यवहार किया जाना चाहिए।

यह वीडियो इसलिए साझा किया जा रहा है क्योंकि चुप्पी ऐसे व्यवहार को जारी रहने देती है।

उम्मीद है कि संबंधित अधिकारी इस मामले की जाँच करेंगे और सुनिश्चित करेंगे कि किसी और को ऐसा अनुभव न झेलना पड़े।
