Just like how traditional artists don't limit their artistic potential by not switching to digital art, digital artists aren't limiting themselves by not utilizing AI's. I do think these developments have both made art more accessible for the less skilled.

@lctafk @inabasahime @LilyPi2 @krowtwt I usually just make one comment and dip haha... no point in going back and forward. The whole point of AI art is for a computer to produce original works. Ripping the work of an artist would directly go against that. There's just not much more to it than that.

@inabasahime @lctafk @LilyPi2 @krowtwt I think you're misinterpreting what the AI does... it's more like seeing the art rather than copying or taking it. When you see art in a gallery, you're not doing anything wrong, even if you think about it later when making your own art.

Things like creativity and conveying emotions will be much more important for digital artists, and I'd imagine the more mindless works will struggle to compete.

How do digital artists gripe about AI-generated art when digital art essentially did the same thing to traditional art? Like oh, this new method can produce more detailed work in less time? Some things may change, but digital art won't become irrelevant, don't worry.

I guess I’m worried that I’m too far gone. Like whatever strength that I still have is only good enough to keep my course from getting worse, but not actually improve things.

Did I do this to myself on purpose? Why else would I move away from my family and friends if not to challenge my resolve? I once considered myself to be the happiest person I knew, but now that I’ve deprived myself of any meaningful relationships, I no longer believe that.

If what I really want is excitement, then I think I need to let myself feel bad for a bit. I’ve gotten really good at shutting out negative emotions, but I think in return, that’s made me too complacent while in a suboptimal situation.
