Geeky plane spotters picked up two E-6B Mercury planes both flying off the east and west coast of America, had turned on their transponders. obviously they don’t broadcast their positions...

For the non-geeky, these planes are airborne nuclear weapons command and control platforms. They can launch all land and sea based ICBM even when upper command has been destroyed.
