@KeytarCatholic Thank you for this Father! I hadn't heard of it until last year in the wake of the scandals and I observed it myself. I'm glad to see that it's being publicized!
In the past week, the following occurred:
-I earned my Masters in Nonprofit Management
-I left my job
-I moved out of Boston
-Today I move into the MotherHouse to begin formation with the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist
-I realized I own more books than some libraries
@OliviaVollmar I have spotty internet (detachment Im guessing!!). Google them and check out the website, it's very good.. And if you have an questions, DM me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. But yes. It is everything!
You have here no lasting city. For wherever you find yourself, you will always be a pilgrim from another city. Until you are united intimately with Christ, you will never find your true rest. - Thomas Γ Kempis
@theghissilent Christ the High Priest! My favorite icon! Also the cover of my parish's bulletin at least once a year. I may or may not be the one who compiles the bulletin!
@FrHilderbrand My two cents is to open the conversation. Explain your vision. Ask for input. Tell the people why ministry is crucial. Even if you reach one or two people to get on board, they will encourage others.
@zgochenour Saint Augustine - huge role in my "reversion"
Saint Maxamilian Kolbe - powerful intercession for friends struggling with addictions
Saint Francis of Assisi - humility, imitation of Christ and for way more reasons than Twitter characters will allow!
For anyone hesitating on returning to the sacraments, contacting a vocations director, reinvigorating your prayer life or otherwise waiting for the "right time" to live a life devoted to Christ: re-read today's Gospel. The right time is now. Leave it all behind and follow Him.
