LEBRON IS COMING TO PHILLY.
By the power vested in me as the Governor of the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a die-hard Sixers fan... I hereby proclaim today to be LEBRON JAMES DAY.
Welcome to the City of Brotherly Love, @KingJames.
You’re all a bunch of fucking bums hating on my brother’s name, especially fighters.
Without Conor McGregor, everyone in MMA would still be making 10K fighting on Spike TV. He changed the game forever.
Watching him fight through things people don’t come back from inspires me to keep facing my own demons. He didn’t have to go for it, but he still did for the love of the game. That’s what separates him. A real motherfucking G.
Nobody knows the real man. He taught me the game, taught me about life, and so much more than I could ever put into words. He taught me how to believe in myself, think bigger, trust my instincts, keep going when the whole world doubts you, and never settle. I’ll always be grateful for everything he’s taught me and everything he continues to teach me. My brother for life. 🤞
If you hate on that, you’ll never achieve greatness.
Always up. The legend. The best ever to do it. McGregor forever.
Bron knew he was leaving and still balled tf out in the playoffs for a team that had no chance with their star players in street clothes. What a fking professional. Man honors the damn contract, can’t deny that.
Proud of my warrior Brother ilia 🦾❤️.
I know he will come back stronger than ever. ამაყი ვარ ჩემი მეომარი ძმით. 🦾❤️.ვიცი, რომ ილია უფრო ძლიერი დაბრუნდება ვიდრე ოდესმე.
Loss of life (young life at that) brought about by avoidable circumstances that the victims were exposed to by authority figures that were supposed to care and nurture them - is a tragedy that requires accountability. No it won’t bring back Divine and Rene, but we cannot allow people in power to be protected when their authority and status were wielded to put young men in precarious situations that took their lives. There’s anecdotes on record of precedent, there’s a grieving mother asking for the most basic details amid official statements saying they are ‘working closely’ with the families.
Investigate this to the fullest. Basketball is by no means more important than protecting our young people, most especially those who come from backgrounds that force them and their families to look at a roster spot, game minutes, a coaching staff’s favor and approval - as tickets to a better life.
Pay close attention to who says what, if anything at all. If you’re not enraged by the avoidable accident that took the lives of two young men, if your instinct is to protect an institution’s reputation over condemning those responosible for two boys dying, if you would rather be silent because you’re worried about relationships or your place in the industry, then you’re part of the problem.
This was avoidable. This was negligent. It’s only basketball, ffs. There are people responsible. Hold them accountable.

Rest in Peace, Rene and Divine.

“Coach hindi muna ako babalik nang mga 5 years sa Davao kasi gusto ko muna yumaman at iahon ang aking pamilya sa kahirapan.”
