It’s recognizing the differences and accepting a human as a human, not as a color. I don’t see “color” when I look at people I see unique individual human beings. At least that’s my interpretation.

@goblue43729 Ah true, when i first started here day 1 they gave us 15 days but after march 2022 they moved most rig hand to a semi salary thing. As long as we’re there working 336 hours before our 2 weeks off we get paid for those 2 weeks. The guys love it.

@goblue43729 @itsjustfatimah Offshore workers typically only work 6 months out of the year total. Generally it’s 2 weeks - 2 months straight then the same time off right after, rinse and repeat. I’m not offshore but land rig and I always do 1 month on 2 weeks off so I get about 4 months off a year.

Cops (generally) have a stronger disposition against them, Why would they trust them enough to help them. My guess is it’s 50/50 the cop finds a reason to detain them too.

@philophobic_ent @DLegacy12 That’s an estimate based on hourly wage but those guys get more overtime than regular hours. I work in the oil industry and I make an “estimated” 53k a year but on last years taxes my gross was 145k. None of those average salary charts include overtime.
