The 2 examples are far from comparable.

People aren't coming to the restaurant because you work there.
If someone knew you worked there and happened to see you and asked you a standard question about the restaurant, most people would just answer the question and get on with their day.

There shouldn't be an expectation from fans, but it should also be expected that you're going to get attention as a public figure that has been positioned as important due to those same fans being avoided.
