On August 17, 2024, Tamarack and Big Brothers, Big Sisters (KFLA) hosted their annual Teddy Bear Party at the Boys and Girls Club of Kingston. At this event,
$19,720 was raised,
650 people participated in programs,

The event was attended by MP Gerretsen, MPP Hsu, and City Councillors Jimmy Hassan, Gregory Ridge, and Don Amos. Through social media, they reached 32,612 accounts. Over 1,000 people in Kingston & Area directly engaged with the event promotion (3/4)!
Tomorrow, August 1, is Emancipation Day. We have created this package to raise awareness about the enslavement of Black and Indigenous Peoples, but to celebrate and continuously advocate for emancipation.
