@MeInYYJ Yes, it is safe to receive the live vaccine if you are living with a CEV individual. Additionally, vaccination acts as another layer of protection and will decrease the likelihood of exposing this person so measles.

Check that your child’s immunization records are up to date in the Provincial Immunization Registry and submit any missing records. This will prevent children from missing school in the event of a measles case, as a person without a record is considered unimmunized

@suzannehgrant Thanks for your Q. Starting in 1981, the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine was provided to all children 12 months of age and older. If you followed the schedule, you would likely receive the MMR vaccine at 12 months and a 2nd MR vaccine in the 1996 province-wide campaign. 1/2
