The frustrating part is that $NIO is actually executing much better operationally than it was a few years ago. The stock isn't falling because the business is deteriorating. It's falling because investors are worried about China's economy, EV price wars, tariffs, and whether NIO can sustain profitability. The market is demanding proof, not promises.
What many people forget is that NIO has already crossed several milestones that seemed impossible a few years ago. The company achieved its first quarterly profit, vehicle margins have improved to nearly 19%, deliveries are growing close to 100% year-over-year, and management is guiding for 110,000-115,000 deliveries in Q2 alone.
The stock often performed better when NIO was losing money because investors were pricing in future growth. Today, investors want to see consistent profits and free cash flow before awarding a higher valuation. That's why the stock has lagged despite much stronger fundamentals.
Looking ahead, the key catalysts are ES9, ONVO expansion, Firefly international growth, and management's target of 40-50% annual sales growth. If NIO delivers on those goals while maintaining profitability, sentiment can change very quickly.
Personally, I think the business is in a far stronger position today than when the stock traded at much higher prices. The question isn't whether NIO is growing anymore. The question is whether the market eventually recognizes that growth with a higher valuation. If the company continues executing, I believe patience will be rewarded.

It’s chaos in Yosemite National Park
This is the first summer since Yosemite stopped using their reservation system
There have been almost 100,000 more visitors than this time last year
It’s so crowded the lines of cards are hours long and people are parking illegally in the meadows that are supposed to be protected
“The line of cars goes on and on and on, all waiting to get into Yosemite National Park. People were waiting for like at least hour and a half and once you're inside, the waiting isn't over”
By 7.30 am parking can already be at capacity
“The entire park, it was impossible to park. There's nowhere to park for anybody. Waiting to find parking, waiting to get on the shuttle — With many getting impatient and just illegally parking wherever they could. There are people pulling onto meadows, pulling off pavement, going off-road”
“Environmental Resource Center says it was at least better than this. Without any limits the amount of vehicles, amount of people, it becomes overwhelmed. He believes the decision was good for business, not for the environment”
You can’t even take the shuttles they’re so packed, I found:
Shuttles are overwhelmed, trails including Half Dome cables are jammed, and congestion is constant. Park staff and environmental groups say it’s harming sensitive meadows and wildlife habitat
There is no daily cap on vehicles during peak summer hours
Many park employees, over 300 signed a petition, environmental groups, and former staff criticize the decision as prioritizing crowds over visitor experience
Go back to a strict reservation system. There are way too many people
WOW: California Gov. Gavin Newsom is getting SLAMMED for FALSELY accusing Chevron of price gouging. The company is fighting back with signs at its Golden State gas stations that read: “Sacramento Policies did this. Now you pay more. California politicians are choosing foreign oil and fuels over local jobs and lower costs.”
Fox News’ Sandra Smith: “Why doesn’t [Newsom] just take it directly to court if that’s the case? That’s an illegal activity.”
William La Jeunesse: “Well, he actually did and he never got anywhere. His own commission found out there was no price gouging.”
NUKED!
