BSc Occupational Therapy complete and assistance dog (@guidedogs/@MedDetectDogs) Sam and I had great fun in our fancy robes. Thank you @YSJOT and @YorkStJohn as a whole for the infinite support over the last five years.
Next stop- MSc 🍾
Whatever happens—and my god, we will fight on with every breath we have—can we just take a moment to say: we did this. It wasn’t the MPs. We made them listen to us. Every tweet. Every call. Every meeting. Every protest. Every petition. Every march. Every action. That’s amazing.
DWP response to this petition claims that people out of work are 3x more likely to be in poverty than those in work... failing to mention that this poverty only exists because of *their* policy choices... it will only worsen with more benefit cuts!

Absolutely adored #LifeHacksForALittleAlien by Alice Franklin today. A beautiful work on the power of autistic special interests and a powerful love letter to neurodivergence and libraries.
A prominent Labour MP told me this morning that our activism is one of the reasons Labour are considering U-turning on a couple of benefit policies. Don’t buy the spin from the three Labour Party stooge accounts claiming the media made it all up—pressure is our best friend.
@The_Oodie I bought four oodies for family for Christmas and only one turned up. No order form in the package, no reply to my emails and no number to call. I’ve not had any gifts to give anyone. Please can you resolve this?
Had a great Christmas sensory story session with our little group of VI kiddos at @toylikeme. The grinch definitely hasn’t stolen Christmas here!
What a joy to work with these children for over a year now 🎄

@Laura_Does @CPD_RCOT @theRCOT Hi Laura! I’m at YSJ doing a post graduate research MSc on the use of art as an OT intervention with autistic children. Happy to chat :)
Tonight’s Documentary is The Remarkable Life of Ibelin” the story of how gaming transformed the life of a young man with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Fascinating to see the freedom gaming could bring and the computer adaptions to facilitate this. #OT

Hi,
We are NHS Mental Health Services.
We can’t retain staff long enough anymore to have care coordinators anymore.
And there are too many of you.
Thanks.
Bye!
Has anyone else had major issues since Study Tech took over disabled student allowance? I am now 4 months in, no equipment, call handlers are rude and no one will answer emails. The whole thing has been nothing but stress!

@JeremyH09406697 Definitely not an issue. I’m blind and use my motability car in this way, it is to enable the disabled person. As long as the trip isn’t solely for the benefit of the family/friend it’s fine.
I moved into Downing Street and took up my position as Chief Mouser exactly 13 years ago. If I'd known then what I know now, I might have asked to stay at Battersea, but things can only get better..."
One of the quirks of the British benefits system is you can spend months begging DWP to stop overpaying you and still receive a letter saying you deliberately robbed the nation 🤔

I’m starting a support group for people who didn’t see the Northern Lights last night.
