This wasn’t about “just having an opinion.” He didn’t simply criticize SOGI policy, he repeatedly made public statements that associated teachers with harm to children. The B.C. Human Rights Tribunal found that rhetoric discriminatory and damaging, and ordered him to pay $750,000.

You can debate curriculum. You cannot publicly link identifiable professionals to child abuse accusations without evidence and call it “free speech.”
