This is ONE of the best times that a song (and what a song!!) was used for a scene.
Context:
"Main guy" is at a club with his girlfriend.
Scene cuts to a family getaway, the woman Main guy lusts for (because this series is literally called "Forbidden Love") is there with her husband. In another scene the daughter from the husband's first marriage is longing for "Main guy" while her caretaker secretly lusts for the husband of the woman the Main guy lusts for.
The only one not really bothered with any "forbidden love" is the younger kid in blue dancing alone happily. (Bless his heart, he's just dancing and totally oblivious to the madness around him.β₯οΈ)
Back to the club, Main guy sees the woman he lusts for even when he knows it's impossible for her to be there...but he still sees her... dancing in the crowd.
When the crowd departs and he truly sees her, he realizes it's not her. He realizes his stupidity in real time and almost winces loudly at her just being a lookalike.
His girlfriend turns and sees him gazing at the girl and sends him a glare, he literally tells her in his mind "bitch you know I don't love you leave me alone".
It's one of the best guilty pleasures dramas you'd ever know.
I don't want to give spoilers but it's not a romance and it doesn't end well. Lots of toxic people. (Some even criminal!)
And I know even good films flop...
But don't take Spider-Man Brand New Day to hide what's wrong and just say WE'RE BACK. π
Make good films. I beg of you.β₯οΈπ

At least I can get Caped Crusader.
I remember several times going OMG THATS JUST GENIOUS.
I really *needed* to feel like that with a Batman project.
Batman is supposed to be smart.
But really smart.
And the one in Caped Crusader truly is.π₯π₯π§ͺβ€οΈβπ₯
And you can see also his vulnerability.
Just little cracks there and there.
Just for 1 second or two he tries to reach out. AWWπππ₯°π₯°

Goofy jokes DON'T replace the emotional scenes. Duh. Let the emotions linger... Don't cut them with uncomfortable jokes. Ugh.
Batman. Just make the script amazing. And the special effects/action be as big as Spider-Man Brand New Day, practical, with a side of good cameos direct from the comics, both unknown and recognizable with known actors.βBoth bringing nostalgia and "brand new" appeal. That's the formula.π§ͺπ
(And don't forget about the emotional scenes. Never leave the emotional scenes out to replace them for goofy jokes that most won't understand because their references are old as time. Hey DCU.π€£)
She's like ya vete, vete. Hiciste suficiente. Te dejo ir. Take some vacations! And even chuckles at it like "that girl is incorrigible".
That's the kind of mentor-mentee relationship I (and we all want I think). It's tough love while low key rooting for you but I'm too proud to let you know about it.
