Reverse the situation and watch ‘people’ curse the woman out for infantilizing her husband, centering her entire identity around pleasing a man, and humbling her own brilliance just to stroke a male ego.
It’s only sweet when it’s the man doing it.
I'm sorry, but I do not like this tweet.
So, if he had won, the wife would make it an issue when they got home?
God forbid this type of marriage. All of una wey dey involved dey mad.
See the replies and quotes🤦♂️,this is why i don't pity men when women divorce and ruin their lives because they're the most foolish sets of people on the planet, you can't even be competitive without offending your wife and you claim you're in a happy marriage?
I was paired with a man for a game, yet somehow he spent the entire time rooting for his wife… who was on the opposing team. Of course she won. It turned out my brilliance was no match for marital loyalty.
@OmolewaAbraham I still don't have issues with it,but what I will have an issue with is if a yoruba does the same thing and Twitter won't keep shut about it

One of the biggest misconceptions in these debates is forcing Yoruba spirituality into Abrahamic categories.
Olódùmarè is not simply the “Christian God with a Yoruba name.”
Olódùmarè is the Supreme Creator in the Yoruba worldview, understood through Yoruba philosophy and cosmology, not through the theological framework of the Bible or the Qur’an.
Likewise, the Òrìṣà are not “gods” in the same sense that many critics imagine. In Yoruba thought, they are generally understood as primordial beings, divine functionaries, forces of nature, ancestors elevated in tradition, or intermediaries who carry out specific roles within creation under Olódùmarè.
Trying to equate Òrìṣà with Satan, angels, jinn, Greek gods, or other figures from Abrahamic traditions misses the point. Those comparisons impose one religion’s categories onto another.
If we’re going to discuss Yoruba spirituality, let’s first understand it on its own terms not through concepts borrowed from religions that developed in a completely different historical and cultural context.
And this one go follow people talk olodo uprising, 90% of you people on this app are the real olodos regardless of if you graduated, cause see this brain dead take
I just saw a post where it was said that Olodumare is your god and not the smaller dieties.
Olodumare is one of the names of the Christian God in Yoruba language as well. So if it is Olodumare you are defending, then we are somewhat on the same side but if it’s the dieties that were destroying the lives of the people depicted in this movie that you are defending, then you really need to try and understand which god(s) you’re actually serving.
Is it Olodumare alone or is it Olodumare and the others? Which one is your god gan gan?
1. Olódùmarè is not the christian god. Olódùmarè is simply the creator of all things in the Yorùbá world view.
2. Òrìṣà are not gods. Most Òrìṣà are primordial forces and messengers of Olódùmarè.
Olódùmarè is considered the source of all existence and unlike the abrahamic god Olódùmarè does not have a human-like ego, does not demand worship, does not judge through a lens of sin and damnation, and does not have a chosen lineage of people, “Israelites”.
The christian god is a way Middle Easterners interpeted the creator of all things and their culture and lineage developed a story around it. Which is why most of the story is about Israel and its people. It is their own and it was centred around them before it gained popularity.
Iṣẹṣe is our own way we understood the world. All over the world different cultures interpreted the unknown in their own way. The middle eastern versions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) are just the most popular.
We need to look at religion or spirituality as what it really is, a way humans understood the unknown, and stop looking at things through a black and white lens. I think once we respect these boundaries then we can all coexist peacefully.
All we are asking is for christians to stop calling Iṣẹṣe evil and demonising Yoruba traditions. Is that too much to ask? Make movies about your bible villains. 🙂
