Peter Large

International Chess Master. I play chess, I read books, I listen to music, I watch cricket and films, I eat curry, I drink wine.

Chess is hard

Today.

I started so badly I didn’t even get to play Zack.

Only just caught up with what happened to Australia today in the Second Test v South Africa. Gutted for them obviously.

😄

Peter Andrews sums up the latest battle between Kingston's first and second teams, this time in Div 1 of the Thames Valley League. https://t.co/HdCIdjnWIH Kingston A prevailed with wins by David Maycock, Peter Large (pictured) and David Rowson, but it was far from one-way traffic

Today

This was hard work.
When Round 5 started my game in Round 4 was still going on.

Andrew Scott delivers this speech too slowly; I know some viewers will hate the way he breaks up the verse. AND YET even in spite of that I think this is the best delivery of this soliloquy I’ve ever seen.

He makes it sound like it’s not a portentous speech everyone already knows but a morally serious real-time deliberation, by a highly intelligent person in extreme pain, considering what it would mean to end his own life.

Captain Stephen Moss reports on Kingston's 6.5-3.5 victory over Guildford in the semi-final of the 10-board Alexander Cup, Surrey's premier knockout competition. https://t.co/WqVSz7QcNv Wins for Supratit Banerjee, David Maycock, Vladimir Li (pictured) and Harvey Li (no relation)

@JacquiDeevoy1 But - if we control them, wouldn’t it be simpler just to close the zoo?

Shut up and stop trying to cause difficulties.

[Peter Large @IMPeterLarge]

@JacquiDeevoy1 The psyop would have to be a massive operation. It’s not just the actor and the witnesses. It’s the zoo owners, the police, the health service, the Coroner, home office pathologists, to name just a few.

No problem. We are the WEF. We control all those guys.

[Peter Large @IMPeterLarge]

@JacquiDeevoy1 Jacqui is not a conspiracy loon. She said so herself.

She’s just able to “recognise patterns”.

Right.

12-year-old Supratit Banerjee becomes the UK’s youngest International Master! 🎉♟️

Huge congrats to Supratit, who was awarded the IM title in Samarkand. From earning his 1st norm at 11 to becoming an International Master at 12, what a magnificent achievement! 💥

@jennyriza777 The original poster thinks the answer is 30.

Why do these halfwits do it?

[Peter Large @IMPeterLarge]

@Georginausa1 Why do people post this sort of rubbish?

What is this “Schools Team Chess Championship in England” on https://t.co/dm7FmY6sCd?

Seems totally fictitious.
