That means the protocol stays transparent, auditable, and open.

Privacy does not mean “hidden protocol.”
It means users can access private money without trusting CEXs, bridges, or middlemen.

This is the part many people still don’t understand:

@THORChain is not making Monero less transparent.
It is making access to Monero more decentralized.

I’d like to take this opportunity to write to you directly, having authored THORSwap comms in third person for the past 3 years.

Today, with the blessing of core-contributors, I am beyond honored to take on the exciting role of THORSwap Lead Contributor/CEO, working with our team of OG builders to build THORSwap V3 and our ambitious future roadmap.

I have HUGE shoes to fill, but with a strong close partnership with our old friends at SwapKit and what I believe is certainly one of the best teams in DeFi , THORSwap is well positioned to grow as a vital player in Crypto’s decentralized future

Back in 2020 DeFi Summer, I was first introduced to THORSwap after having funds frozen on a centralized exchange. It was truly a watershed moment in my crypto journey and ignited my passion for true cross-chain DeFi. This would eventually lead me to become a THORSwap contributor in September 2021.

I first worked as an artist on the THORChads NFT project, then art director, before transitioning to core THORSwap protocol as a Product Manager, followed by Operations and eventually Director of Comms (short for Communications and Community).

Needless to say, I’ve been with THORSwap through all the highs and lows, but my conviction has never wavered.

Throughout the years, I’ve helped ship new products, wallet/chain/provider integrations, designed UI/UX, performed QA/bug-testing, managed press/marketing/social media, written articles and maintained docs, worked on Biz Dev and partnerships, team operations, community management, support tickets, and — oh yeah — designed all our merch. ⚡

There were countless all-nighters and weekend crunches along the way, but I was fully driven by THORSwap’s core ethos: making DeFi accessible for everyone.

Every bridge hack, every CEX collapse, every time a user had funds frozen was another reminder that what we were building was truly special and there was so much more work to do to help Crypto users (regardless of ecosystem) regain freedom, self-custody and security of their assets.

After transitioning to work on @SwapKitPowered at the start of 2025, I’ve continued to volunteer hours everyday to work on THORSwap marketing and comms, helping to ship new integrations, supporting the community, assisting with QA and bug-fixing, and more. Burning the candle at both ends hasn’t been easy, but I simply could not bear to neglect the THORSwap project and community.

It soon became obvious to myself and other core contributors that for THORSwap, simply maintaining the status quo was not enough. Cross-chain DeFi was heating up in terms of both opportunity and competition. THORSwap needed new leadership and renewed energy to execute.

After drafting the THORSwap V3 roadmap, I received blessing from SwapKit and THORSwap contributors to return as the new project lead and help THORSwap fulfil it’s true potential.

One may look at our current performance ($1.58B in annual volume, $1.8M in rewards distributed over 4 months) as a proof of maturity. However, myself and the amazing team whom I’ve worked with for years believe THORSwap can be so much more.

We’re only just beginning to mature into the true one-stop gateway for all Crypto users.

The Best Bitcoin DEX? You got it.
#BetterThanCEX? That’s still the motto.
Aggregator of Aggregators? With SwapKit, we already ahead of the game.

The logical next step is to redesign THORSwap from the ground up, prioritizing user experience and onboarding the next wave of DeFi users.
