Aspiring Actor, I'm 27, I’m often daydreaming bc I've always liked the idea of there being something more than the normal world //snap:imrafasilva// multifandom
vocês estão descobrindo como o "livre mercado" funciona, a Amazon, quando tinha concorrentes, vendia Kindle por 100 reais, agora que conseguiu falir todos, pode colocar o preço que quiser que ninguém vai ter nenhuma outra opção
Nominating this terrible candidate might cost us some down ballot seats
He’s a status quo do nothing in a state that badly needs reform and doesn’t even have Newsoms charisma
Like I said, this was the worst primary outcome this cycle so far
Long story short
The Studio heads over at WB wanted Snyder gone, not because his movies didn’t sell(they did), but because they didn’t do as much as the later MCU films they were up against. They thought that if they emulated the MCU, they would also attain the same box office numbers, but Snyder refused, he wanted to stick to his vision.
So when Snyder’s daughter died and he couldn’t finish JL they used that as a way to get rid of him and hired a Marvel director to reshoot the film(sounds familiar?) That film also underperformed though, despite its MCUification. Infact, the weird flip is tone is one of the many reasons why people hated that film. This meddling led to friction between the Snyder camp and the producers over at WB, specifically Geoff Johns who seemingly wanted to mold the DCEU in his vision and also rumored to have leaked the plans for BvS to Kevin Feige.
Also, The Hollywood media was 100% on the MCU train during that period because it was THE hot thing. Put aside the blatant hit pieces with stories planted by moles over at WB, Snyder’s movies were never really given a fair shake from the media simply because they dared to be different from the kind of CBM the MCU popularized. Critics, like regular people, are influenced by trends. The MCU action comedy type film was the trend. If Released under a different climate, they would be reviewed differently.
Lastly, Years after BvS supposedly “destroyed the brand” Dc films like Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Joker made up to a billion dollars. Though the further DC moved AWAY from those characters and the tone established in that universe, the more DC films began to flop at the box office. Makes you wonder… maybe they shouldn’t have tried to emulate the MCU?
There’s a lot that I probably didn’t mention but this is simply a story of where greed, impatience and the quest for power led a company to ruin. WB would love to get those Snyder box office number now, if they could. That’s how bad it is
🚨 BREAKING:
American actress Marcia Cross:
"For two years, we've witnessed genocide.
Families have been forced to put the remains of their children's tiny bodies into bags.
Action must be taken."
Tbh I’m against a Frozen Live Action always, but if there’s a LA portrayal that I can’t ever forget & was cast to perfection, it was Elizabeth Lail as Anna.. she absolutely DEVOURED the role
