CA बनने के बाद यही सोचकर Practice शुरू की थी कि देश की tax compliance में अपना योगदान देंगे, taxpayers और Government के बीच एक responsible professional की भूमिका निभाएंगे।

लेकिन यह नहीं सोचा था कि Practice करने के बाद ऐसी working conditions भी देखनी पड़ेंगी।

सुबह से रात तक काम।
छुट्टियाँ खत्म।
Family time खत्म।
Health और sleep का कोई हिसाब नहीं।
Articles और staff पर लगातार pressure।
Clients का data late आता है, portals की अपनी problems हैं, compliance की deadlines लगातार सिर पर हैं।

और आखिर में सवाल यही होता है... “Extension क्यों चाहिए? आपको तो फरवरी से पता थ���।”

साहब, फरवरी से पता होना और फरवरी से लगातार सिर्फ Tax Audit करना... दो अलग बातें हैं।

एक CA की जिंदगी में TDS data भी है, GST भी है, ITR season भी है, assessments भी हैं, clients की रोज़मर्रा की problems भी हैं और उसके साथ Tax Audit भी है। हम मशीन नहीं हैं।

हमारे पीछे भी परिवार है।
हमारे बच्चे हैं।
हमारे माता-पिता हैं।
हमारे Articles हैं जो हमसे सीख रहे हैं।

और सबसे बढ़कर... हम इंसान हैं।

हम Extension कोई luxury के लिए नहीं मांग रहे।

हम सिर्फ इतना कह रहे हैं... थोड़ा रहम करिए।
थोड़ा ground reality समझिए।
थोड़ा professionals की सुनिए।

Tax compliance देश के हित में है, लेकिन compliance की जिम्मेदारी निभाने वाले professionals को तोड़कर compliance मजबूत नहीं हो सकती।

अत्याचार बंद करो।
रहम करो।

If the Tax Audit due date is going to be extended, PLEASE ANNOUNCE IT TODAY.

An extension announced at the eleventh hour provides little practical relief. By then, CAs, their teams, taxpayers and businesses would already have spent sleepless nights rushing to meet the existing deadline.

📊 Multiple statutory compliances running simultaneously
📑 AIS/26AS/GST & books reconciliations
💻 Peak-load technical challenges
⏳ Enormous pressure on professionals, staff & taxpayers

The profession does not need suspense. It needs clarity.

If genuine hardship deserves relief, that relief must come BEFORE the hardship is suffered — not after.

🙏 We urge CBDT & Ministry of Finance to announce the extension TODAY and extend the Tax Audit due date to 31.10.2026.

The @IncomeTaxIndia should release objective data on the current status of Tax audit work.

If professionals across the country have completed only around 50% of the work, that data itself would speak louder than any so-called representation or repeated BEGGING on social media.

The issue is not about asking for an extension as a matter of convenience. It is about recognising the delays caused by the department & providing adequate time to accommodate timely and accurate filing.

Let the data come out. Let the truth speak for itself. @nsitharaman
