This is the exact issue with micro transactions in general. I’m a grown adult that can’t afford them as I’m in grad school and working PRN.

If I were a child and had to beg my parents for their credit card, I would be even more screwed. It’s just distasteful for the player base.

Why are slow and slowest even options for XP progression? If anything, normal should be the only option if you’re going to take away fast and faster. I have met zero people that use the slow or slowest XP sliders.

At the end of the day, the video game is a sandbox simulation game. You should have the ability to play the offline portion of the game the way you want to play it.

There was a silent agreement. Guys like us tolerated the aggressive, predatory microtransactions in Ultimate Team. And looked the other way while EA made billions selling digital card packs.

In exchange, EA was supposed to honor our traditional, single-player offline modes (Dynasty and Road to Glory) as the pure core of their simulation football game and leave it out of their money-grab architecture.

What they did wrong with #CFBPlayDontPay might seem like a small thing, but the outrage is what it is because we all recognize this is EA heading in a direction that tears up that treaty. It’s a wake up call.

They got greedy and invaded our territory.

‼️ the massive business reality that these executives completely take for granted is guys like us are the ones who give these football franchises their year-round relevance, cultural gravity, and authenticity.

WE are the ones keeping the game alive 365 days a year on all social media.

Without our organic, authentic community providing a baseline of sports credibility, the game loses its soul.

EA uses our passion and approval to market the game, but then they continue to pervert the only part of the game we actually buy these games for.

They’re honestly fine, Some people are impatient, so let them spend their money, but, the XP sliders have to be reimplemented for the micro transactions to be reasonable. Otherwise, you’re just grifting.

@TopTierAlabama @CFBDirect @ETGEACOLLEGE They don’t even have to remove it. That’s not the issue. I’m fine with it for people that are impatient, but don’t take the XP sliders out. They aren’t mutually exclusive. They literally just have to add the sliders back, sacrificing a couple dollars, and this would blow over.
