Fridays sit in at the South Building of UNC Chapel Hill demonstrated many things. Among them was that politely asking for those in positions of power to make changes will never work. The students contacted these administrators multiple times requesting to talk to them 1/7

seek to connect with students. They understand the need for radical action. They are willing to go outside of the channels that they are told are the correct ones. 8/8

about their demands regarding the schools ties with Israel. The administrators ignored them. When that failed a sit in was organized by UNC's Students for Justice in Palestine where the lobby of the administrative building was packed by students and others outraged by the 2/7
