One of the most scenic hikes in Petra leads up to the High Place of Sacrifice on Jabal al-Madhbah. Then you head east down to Wadi Farasa. Plan an hour or more for this to enjoy the impressive views of the mountains and the wide valley.

The main attractions of Jerash are the Roman era ruins. But did you know there are also remains from the Byzantine period here? This is at the remains of the Church of Isaiah dating from 558-559 CE. It was destroyed by the large earthquake of 749 CE. #visitjordan
