Roane is Assistant Professor of Africana Studies & Geography & Andrew W. Mellon chair in the Institute for the Study of Global Racial Justice at Rutgers University (@ISGRJRutgers). He works on food justice/sovereignty with Just Harvest Tidewater in his home community in Virginia.
