Shai Hope now has more T20I runs than Chris Gayle 😯

When Ian bishop is in commentary he pours his heart out with appreciation when someone plays Good no matter who the player is and which team's winning the game, meanwhile indian commentators energy completely drops the moment they realise india is losing. 🫩

Tristan Stubbs has been dropped from South Africa's squad ahead of the second Test against Australia

I'd really like to see KG captain one Test match one day. Just once

Temba Bavuma and Kagiso Rabada both addressed teammates before South Africa training this morning at St George’s Park.

[Hesan Sedai @InBetweenWorld2]

@Werries_ I think Breetzke has at least some experience opening, I think he might be the better option

[Hesan Sedai @InBetweenWorld2]

@ncakos316 Shukri said they will still consider opening with Ryan, but if they decide against it then I like Breetzke for opening with Aiden

[Hesan Sedai @InBetweenWorld2]

Things are getting interesting. Thoughts?

Dafabet Second Test Match Squad Announcement 🚨

The South Africa Men’s selection panel has today named a 17-player squad for the second Dafabet Test against Australia, starting on Sunday, 18 October at Dafabet St George’s Park in Gqeberha.

There is one change to the squad from the first Test, with batter Matthew Breetzke replacing Tristan Stubbs, while Ryan Rickelton will take over the wicketkeeping duties for the second Test.

Tony de Zorzi was not considered for selection as the left-hander continues his recovery from a left hamstring injury.

Temba Bavuma must have really hurt Travis Head, at last year's WTC final.

[Hesan Sedai @InBetweenWorld2]

@hershybru Do you expect much to change in the pitch due to the drop in pitch? I've been curious as to how the "new" pitch will differ from the traditional St. George's pitch

Wishful thinking, I know, but I'd like to see this XI someday, if not the 2nd Test

I would like to say that as a South African Indian I've rarely seen South African Indian fans be racist, especially when talking about cricket. However, the ones from the land of the BCCI are constantly racist.

[ÆKM🎋 @MarkramStan]

Imagine being Bavuma.

You lead your team to 11 consecutive wins but one loss is enough for people to turn against you. It's sad how quickly people forget everything you've done the moment things don't go your way.

I'm a big advocate for Ryan with the gloves lower down the order. His county cricket average is approx 50 in the lower order if I'm not mistaken

[Grant @grantbn6]

I'm a big Kyle V fan but I admit that with our batting not strong, we need more and have to find a solution.

@LawrenceBailey0 If I remember correctly, when he first took over coaching he wasn't set on Kyle for wk at all, but after Klaasen retired, him and Kyle got on the same page. Since then, he's backed him. But how long does that backing last?

[Werner @Werries_]

I would just like to put it out there that this is our captain's first ever loss in Tests, so there is no need to overreact

- We often start series poorly
- No there shouldn't be wholesale changes with multiple shifts in positions

I expect us to come back stronger

That is all

[Uncle Gerald @Gee_SK]

Kyle didn't even try man.

[Hesan Sedai @InBetweenWorld2]

@ncakos316 One can only hope so

How long does Verreyne have in this side?
