शेतकऱ्यांना 8 तास अखंड वीज द्या, फोर्स लोडशेडींग बंद करा, स्मार्ट मिटर रद्द करा!

कोल्हापूर जिल्ह्यातील सहकारी पाणी पुरवठा संस्था तसेच कृषीपंपधारक शेतकऱ्यांच्या विविध समस्यांबाबत आज महावितरणचे मुख्य अभियंता स्वप्निल काटकर यांना निवेदन दिले.

यामध्ये कृषीपंपांना सलग 8 तास वीजपुरवठा करण्यात यावा, फोर्स लोडशेडिंग बंद करावी, वारंवार वीज खंडित झाल्यामुळे कृषीपंपाचे नुकसान होत आहे, हे प्रकार थांबवावेत, सहकारी पाणी पुरवठा संस्थांना मोफत वीज योजनेचा लाभ देण्यात यावा, स्मार्ट मीटर बसविण्याची सक्ती तात्काळ थांबवावी तसेच प्रलंबित कृषीपंप जोडण्या, सौर कृषीपंप योजनेतील अडचणी, सोलर रूफटॉप ग्राहकांवरील वीज शुल्क यांसारख्या महत्त्वाच्या प्रश्नांकडे महावितरणचे लक्ष वेधले.

I visited the southernmost tip of India.

I stood at Indira Point. I walked under trees that have stood for centuries. I dove into coral reefs among the most vibrant on earth.

And I sat with the people who live there. Tribal communities, whose land is being taken away by violating the Forest Rights Act. Settlers, many of them former soldiers, placed on these islands by the Indian government, who aren’t getting fair compensation.

The Modi government and BJP tells you Great Nicobar Project is about defence. It is not.

Expand INS Baaz - we will back the government fully. The Navy has been asking for expansion for five years - it has been ignored.

They tell you it is about a transhipment port. It is not. India is already building one in Kerala, which is on the mainland.

What it actually is: 1.5 crore trees felled. Coral reefs erased from official maps. Soldiers and tribals displaced - so one businessman can build hotels and casinos on India’s most irreplaceable ecological land.

Every young Indian I have spoken to understands this. You know that no amount of profit is worth destroying what can never be recovered.

I stand for ecologically balanced development. These islands can be the most extraordinary sustainable destination the world has ever seen. That is the India worth fighting for.

CBSE called for OSM tenders thrice. Zero bids the first time. No qualified bidder the second time. And finally, the technical bar was lowered until COEMPT could clear it.

Scanning resolution cut. Robotic scanner requirement dropped. CMMI certification lowered from Level 5 to Level 3. Penalties for errors in answer sheets removed.

TCS, India’s biggest IT services company, qualified in the third round too. TCS lost. COEMPT - a company with a spectacular track record of failure - won.

And what are CBSE students complaining about today? Badly scanned answer sheets. Missing pages. A broken evaluation portal.

Teachers had warned CBSE that the OSM system needed at least a year or two for further preparation before nationwide implementation, yet it was rushed through.

So I ask again - who wanted COEMPT to win? Who lowered the bar, step by step, until this company could clear it?

Pradhan ji and CBSE say “due process was followed.” That is not an answer, that is not accountability. The question is whether the contract was honestly awarded to the best company which could do the job correctly.

The futures of 18.5 lakh children were handed to a company that could only qualify after the rules were bent for it.

To the BJP Ministers attacking me for asking questions - I have, from day one, demanded an independent judicial probe. Expand it from CBSE to every contract awarded to COEMPT. Our youth deserve the truth.

And Modi ji, your silence on the CBSE debacle and inaction against the Education Minister tells the country what you actually care about - not the futures of lakhs of students, only the survival of your own government.

Before asking, “Who is Mallikarjun Kharge?”, BJP leaders should first check their own credibility. @kharge Saheb represents the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi’s truth and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s fight for equality. By trying to belittle him, BJP leaders have insulted the struggle of crores of Ambedkarite citizens and the fight of Dalits and marginalized communities. BJP must remember one thing clearly: Kharge Saheb’s struggle is far greater than your arrogance and political pride!

The threats and vindictive action against Congress spokesperson @Pawankhera for raising genuine public interest questions reflect the BJP government’s failure and insecurity. Such authoritarian tactics have made the BJP lose people’s trust across the country. This will be clearly reflected in the Assam elections. We strongly condemn this action, and the nation stands firmly with Pawan Khera.

असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंता बिस्वा सरमा द्वारा कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष और राज्यसभा में नेता प्रतिपक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे जी के विरुद्ध इस्तेमाल की गई अभद्र और घटिया भाषा पूरी तरह निंदनीय, शर्मनाक और अस्वीकार्य है।

खरगे जी देश के एक वरिष्ठ और लोकप्रिय दलित और जननेता हैं - उनका अनुभव, कद और प्रतिष्ठा अतुलनीय है। उनका अपमान किसी एक व्यक्ति का नहीं, बल्कि इस देश के SC-ST समाज के करोड़ों लोगों का भी अपमान है।

लेकिन यह कोई नई बात नहीं है - यह BJP-RSS की पुरानी और सुनियोजित मानसिकता है।

बाबासाहेब अंबेडकर का अपमान हो, दलित नेताओं को नीचा दिखाना हो, या SC-ST समाज के प्रतिनिधियों पर व्यक्तिगत हमले हों - भाजपा और RSS का इतिहास गवाह है कि जब-जब कोई दलित नेता सच बोलता है, तब-तब ये उसे अपमानित करने पर उतर आते हैं।

यही इनकी विचारधारा है, यही इनका असली चरित्र और चेहरा है।

और, प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी से सीधा सवाल है - क्या आप हिमंता सरमा की इस भाषा का समर्थन करते हैं? आपकी चुप्पी मजबूरी नहीं, सहमति है।

प्रधानमंत्री अगर देश के करोड़ों दलितों के सम्मान पर हमला होते देख मुँह न खोलें - वो न सिर्फ अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी से भाग रहे हैं, बल्कि उस अपमान के हिस्सेदार भी हैं।

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma asking “Kaun hai Kharge?” and using street insults like “paagal” is deeply problematic and show how flabbergasted he is.

Himanta must apologise for this deplorable conduct, for insulting one of the tallest leaders in our country who hails from the most humble backgrounds.

We all know how rattled he is because of the grave corruption allegations against him, and how he leaves no stone unturned to use the most pathetic language to spread hatred.

It is this mindset that we reject and we demand an unconditional apology from him for this statement.
