Whew, finally done with college so I can make my obligatory graduation post! It’s been an awesome 4 years and I owe a lot of it to the Gainesville/NFL smash scene that has been so welcoming to me. Thank you all for making college a great experience that I will never forget (1/?)

banning steve

- creates a specific divide against one player base
- creates inconsistencies within different tournaments
- doesn’t solve the real issue of why some people think tournaments are falling off

banning all dlc

- tos no longer have to pay for all of the dlc on a switch ($50)
- some people can’t afford dlc characters or internet to download them, so there is less practice
- brings the game back to its 2019 style, fresh breath of air
- no animosity towards one player base, it’s just dlc
- a lot of the dlc are game breaking anyway

@Viprskreen_S2 Speak out loud as you are playing what your plan is, what your opponent is doing, how you are going to counter it, etc. Say it out loud as if you are explaining to a coach or friend your thought-process before every interaction. If you can speak your gameplan, you can follow it

@AwDaSeaSSB To be clear, he wasn’t a WiFi warrior before this year either. He picked up competitive smash in January this year according to himself at least. Before that, he said he had only played with friends and family when the game first released and didn’t play again until this year

@AwDaSeaSSB He started playing earlier this year. I had the pleasure of playing him around February this year and he was already at least my level. He got quite popular in Japanese smash twitter in March when people found out he had only been playing for 2 months at that point
