NHS England launches investigation into the handling of concerns about rogue surgeon Yaser Jabbar at @GreatOrmondSt with affected families to be involved:
Of the 14 senior leaders at CCG/ICB level, only 4 agreed to give evidence. Of 66 senior managers at @nottmhospitals only 35 actually engaged with the review just 53%.
This is shocking behaviour by supposed NHS leaders.
https://t.co/LcIqaMSVah Any comment on your former office holder and Board member SCTS? You are quick to give opinions on others but are not so perfect perhaps. @SCTSUK@AmanCoonar
At the time this was all going on, Salford Royal was being hailed as the safest hospital in England under then CEO Sir David Dalton - now it faces a full recall and a probe into governance cover-ups:
A limited review found 23 patients had screws misplaced in their spines, 5 lost excessive blood; more than 40 had problems with consent; and in 35 cases there was poor surgical practice. 13 children at Manchester children’s hospital were also harmed...
@GuvnaJohn@NewcastleHosps You only know what you are told and take it as truth and don't know what you don't know. Until it all comes out later. Governors need to be persuaded to seek out information and details for themselves but still need the resolve to visibly hold executive to account
Pics 2-4: yet to be fully opened Day Treatment Centre on same hospital site. Eventually this will be 0800-2000 Mon-Sat. Not at present tho'
Issues:
1. Light pollution?
2. Energy crisis?
3. What message does this send about our green credentials to the residents of High Heaton?
@GuvnaJohn Loss of focus on running a hospital while spending time and money on vanity projects that have no effect on patient care at a time of crisis
