@RosamundUrwin This often comes up for debate. It’s an accurate term for the condition & those appalled by it, are unable to come up with a term that represents its severity, without undermining condition. We polled 100s of women who wanted the term to remain. It may be good if others did too!

Preterm birth also costs (financially and psychologically) more than virtually any other health problem. Efforts to tackle it are no where near as comprehensive as other health problems (smoking, obesity, alcohol).

Today I heard a women who had lost 10 babies in Tanzania had a successful delivery (35 week). This was following an abdominal cerclage performed by Lusaka Mwaikasu, who watched (and copied) my TAC video at a conference in Delhi last year. Result! Will publish video soon.
