@solinhogg@Yukina56G Like Im more than willing to say the 23 narrative w Faker stopping the golden road was crazy but that should not detract from league history and twist the narrative that a 4th seed team with 0 expectations topped 3 tournament favorites because of two players peaking at right time
@solinhogg@Yukina56G In what way is this crazy? Im a T1 fan as well but I’ll easily admit that the 2022 DRX run was one of the most insane things to happen in lol esports history given the stakes and the T1 run, outside of the JDG series, pales in comparison outside of narratives for fakers 4th
@lol_nadao @solinhogg@Yukina56G yea i agree with this, however read my other threads w ppl - LNG did not look competitive at all against T1 and had an insanely disappointing bo5 making the road that t1 took a lot less difficult in comparison to others
@inamikrokosmos_ @solinhogg@Yukina56G yes and watch the fight LNG put up against T1, they got 3-0’d fast and maybe put up a but of a fight in g3. EDG22 was by no means bad outside of flandre and even tho geng was choking they were still by no means weak in comparison to what drx was
@gosara15@solinhogg@Yukina56G 24 I agree, they fought GENG and BLG the two best teams (and a GENG who had their number) but 23 I would say JDG was the best but WBG and LNG rly didnt put up much of a fight (for what LNG was considered at)
@gosara15@solinhogg@Yukina56G yea I was just saying I honestly dont think T1 sweeping LPL in 23 was that hard a run. Sure I’ll agree that LNG were definitely up there and JDG was the hardest final boss we’ve had in a while but outside of those its just hard to say T123 beats out any of these 4
@gosara15@solinhogg@Yukina56G Yea I 100% agree the EDG was worse than DWG, but if you asked me 2023 LNG/JDG/WBG vs 2022 EDG/GENG/T1 then i would say DRX worlds run was harder without a doubt
@gosara15@solinhogg@Yukina56G Yes I never said JDG was bad, they were the only obstacle in 2023 for T1. If you go back and watch worlds22, sure Doran but the difference of GenG/EDG vs DRX compared to T1 vs LNG was clear that one was onesided and the other was anyones game
@gosara15@solinhogg@Yukina56G except in 2022 geng had just won summer and was coming in as the best team from korea and EDG was coming off being defending world champs. WBG and LNG coming into these series were considered good but by no means tournament favorites whereas in 2022 EDG and GENG definitely were
@solinhogg@Yukina56G outside of JDG the teams T1 faced were kinda fraudulent so by no means was this a hard run… like LNG has Tarzan whos kind of an international choker and WBG in the finals who were only there bc TheShy turned up for one series.
