In light of the Governor’s signing of S6893/A7208 we have the following statement below:
“We are disappointed that the Governor has signed bill S.6893/A.7208. We firmly believe that this legislation is preempted by federal law and that the discharge of monitored, processed, 1/2

Today, June 26, 2023, marks 100 years since the opening of Indian Point Park in Buchanan (June 26, 1923) and the birth of the name “Indian Point”.
Built by the Hudson River Day Line Company to compete with Bear Mountain, this “pleasure park” had picnic grounds, playgrounds,
then reopened in 1950 as a full-fledged amusement park with rides, arcades, and concessions.
Finally, in 1954, the property was sold to Con
Edison for the construction of the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant.
The park remained in operation for two more seasons before construction
Security Force-on-Force Drills will be conducted at Indian Point on May 2, 9, 16, and 23. The drills will be conducted from 7:30pm - 11pm. For community awareness, you may hear simulated gunfire or increased activity at the plant from the waterfront. No reason to be alarmed.
A number of questions have arisen around the permitted discharges to the river from @Indian_Point 's 60-year history, click the link below to see the facts on the issue.
