Indiana Commercial Feed Licenses expire December 31st of each year. Late fees apply if the renewal is received post marked after January 16th. Delinquent notices will be sent out next week to the firms that have not returned their 2024 renewal form.

Did you know that AAFCO, state regulatory agencies, nor FDA, "approve" any animal/pet food products? Do not be fooled by these claims. Claims that products are AAFCO approved or FDA approved are not allowed on any animal/pet food labeling, including websites and social media.

Don't let marketing claims on pet food products such as "no antibiotics" or "no added hormones" confuse you. These claims are only in reference to the proteins used in the products that were raised without the use of antibiotics or added hormones. No pet food has these added.

Dogs can love peanut butter. But make sure the peanut butter you offer to them does not contain Xylitol. This is a sweetener that is toxic to pets.

Did you know if your pet food label has the statement "This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only" it is not formulated as a complete and balanced diet in accordance with the AAFCO Dog or Cat Food Nutrient Profiles and is not intended as a sole diet?
