On the Meerut incident, SP is spreading lies as part of a dirty plan to defame the UP Police. The accused, Ravi Gautam, is not even from Meerut. He already has many criminal cases against him, including murder.

He was trying to provoke the crowd, and the situation could have exploded. Later, while in custody, he even tried to burn himself. Meerut SSP Avinash Pandey slapped him only because, inside the police van, he was trying to hang himself.
