For northern communities, the pandemic resulted in significant disruption to fisheries development activities. The BDT brings technical expertise to assist in the development of commercial and redistributive fisheries.

This week, Northern Integrated Commercial Fisheries Initiative (NICFI) Business Development Team members will travel to Ottawa for program orientation sessions with DFO.
We have a new member on our Business Development Team, so this session will provide familiarization with key aspects of the NICFI program, as well as face-to-face meetings with Management Committee members and DFO Indigenous Programs staff who support this important program.
