Think I preferred the Hilton's welcome of a warm cookie. Also no goody bag for the doggo either, for Β£25 a night you'd think they could stretch to a few treats or something π€·π»ββοΈ it's the little touches that you remember about a place! Now just hoping the breakfast is still good π
Staying at an apex hotel and I'm not sure why they have given me a duck, but here I am because they encourage you to #Showusyourduck pics, as if that couldn't go wrong π
Anyway. I have actual real life cacti that have needed my attention for.... too long I can't remember π so maybe today is the day for giving them some tlc π
Finally got around to building the lego I got myself using a voucher I earned doing surveys, after two months of it sitting unopened (in the packaging it was sent in no less) on the floor of my bedroom. Yet I built the chest of drawers I got delivered on the day it arrived.
How is it I put off building a fairly simple lego (flowering cactus) for two whole months but it's immediately up for building flat pack furniture (without an electric screwdriver, so you can imagine how much longer it took!)? π€·π»ββοΈ
Oh well. Mini rant aside, I now have three whole days off - an unexpected weekend! - and I'm trying not to plan anything specific so my brain doesn't refuse to do any of it and maybe it'll be a productive but enjoyable weekend off??? Can only hope, lol. Anyway. Toodles.
I finished work like six hours ago and my brain is trying to find fault at what I did at work even though I didn't do anything unusual but it still wants me to think I chose to do the wrong thing instead of doing something else and it needs to cut it out already.
It basically boils down to if someone had done their job properly/better in the first place then I wouldn't have need to spend my time sorting through a bunch of stuff that had just been dumped willynilly, and even though I left thinking it was a job well done brain is like no.
I hate tailgaters at any time of the year but especially in winter when it's dark out and they're driving so close you're practically blinded by their stupid headlights. The fact that you can't do anything about them on a single lane carriageway also annoys me.
Tbf it does baffle me that indicator is the same toggle (idk what to call it) as the light one. It's fine in daylight but at night time it's one slight wrong movement and the person in front of you gets blinded π
Guess there are worse things that could happen but when you're tired and just want to sleep having a constant noise loud enough you can't zone it out feels so frustrating π€ and that's coming from someone with tinnitus π.
Away for a few days and first night is not going well. Presumably it's pipes for the heating but there's a constant noise (sounds almost like the noise you get when running a tap, idk how else to describe it) and it's keeping me awake π
The folk in the room next to me will probably be hearing it too as it sounds like it's going through the connecting wall. Tempted to go and buy some earplugs but I'm not sure even they would help dull the noiseπ΅βπ«
