Bryce Dallas Howard has shared a video of the late Sam Neill singing “Blackbird” with Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern.
“Sam had an immense passion for life. Generous with his wine, his stories, his time. One of the most unassumingly attractive and magnetic people I've ever met.”

Hideo Kojima on the end of physical disc production for video games:
"Since production is ending in 2028, this is about video games, but I grew up with physical media, so I find it really sad. Currently, I’ve been buying up a lot of Blu-rays, such as various movies, and CDs too.
The situation is different for games, as they are downloaded to the hard drive, that means the game data remains on your own hardware. However, if things shift to streaming in the future, that won’t be the case anymore.
With streaming subscription services, like Netflix or Amazon, there is a server somewhere, and you essentially just have the right to turn the tap, and when you do, the data flows out. That’s how movies work on these platforms, right? You don't download the data, you access it directly through a subscription. And the consequence of that is that you don't actually possess the data yourself.
There are companies that own these servers and let you 'turn the tap' for a monthly fee. However, with nations, politics and various ways of thinking, one naturally has to consider the possibility that if there is a change, the data inside will stop being distributed. And if that happens you won’t be able to watch or play the movies and games you like.
That is what is frightening.
So, what is happening to video games in 2028, might also happen to movies. I’d like everyone to keep that in mind."
Hideo Kojima comments on the end of physical game production today in Italy:
"Today you can still download data. But at one point games will make into streaming services like Amazon or Netflix and companies will decide if you can play a game or not [...] At this point I won't have anything of my own [...] the data will be somewhere in a company and I will have the right to access it or not depending on how much this data tap is opened.
The fact that the initial data is not in my possession but is somewhere held by a private company means that I will always have that risk that for any reason, whether commercial or political, the company could prevent access to that data and therefore I will no longer be able to see that film, I will no longer be able to play that game.
This is what's happening next for the world of video games and I fear it will also happen for cinema."
With Sony moving away from physical discs after 2028, I just want to say one thing: as long as it's possible, you can count on me to keep releasing physical boxed of my tiny games. 🔥
