@ChinchompaBig brother that's a discussion to be had even without remakes in the picture, sad as it is to say. at this point even making sequels is preventative of exploring new ground, and in my book just as much if not more so than remakes lol
@ChinchompaBig releasing the OGs on Steam. tbf that's the biggest example i can think of when it comes to a dev presenting anything as a replacement, most are just excited to talk about the remakes they're working on, and people ASSUME it's a matter of replacement.
@ChinchompaBig i'm speaking generally. most people very much are not fine with remakes for that last reason, in which again: any consumers who would agree with that would never have touched the OG to begin with, and the companies need to be held accountable for that. like Capcom with RE, and
@ChinchompaBig of the remake being a replacement. i love it just as much for different reasons, but it just isn't. people who would see it as such would never play the OG anyway. they don't matter. companies though.. yeah, that needs to be corrected. but i still stand by the fact that pushing
@ChinchompaBig@Skogjero you're right, but that helps my argument more than any anti-remake argument. nor does the replacement argument hold much weight.. speaks to an insecurity over the original any person using it happens to be speaking about. i'm all for game preservation and that's something that we
@lastchalice i abandoned Xbox in '16, feeling much the same way. currently feeling that way all over again with Sony/the Playstation brand. i just don't think non-Nintendo consoles are for me anymore
@LordofCinder24@CosmosGPR i disagree with you on a lot but you're spot-on with this one. will never understand why people loved it, after the long wait i was so disappointed. amped up all the shit i hated in HK and abandoned everything i loved lol
