Modi govt is resolved for a ‘Drug-Free India’.

Glad to share that through ‘Operation RAGEPILL’, our agencies have achieved the first-ever seizure of Captagon, the so-called “Jihadi Drug”, worth ₹182 crore.

The busting of the drug consignment destined for the Middle East and the arrest of a foreign national stand out as shining examples of our commitment to zero tolerance against drugs.

I repeat we will clamp down on every gram of drugs entering India or leaving the country using our territory as the transit route. Kudos to the brave and vigilant warriors of the NCB. @narcoticsbureau

🤝 3rd Quarterly sub-Committee State-Level JCC meeting for Madhya Pradesh was convened by NCB in Bhopal to enhance Inter-agency coordination & strengthening Enforcement measures towards tackling emerging narcotics threats.

🔷️ Chaired by NCB DDG (Western Region), the meeting was attended by representatives from Customs, DRI, NIA, Income Tax, RPF, State ANTF, SIB, Prosecution Department & FDA.

🔷️ The meeting emphasised upon real-time intelligence sharing & enhanced inter-agency operational coordination, focusing on database sharing on drug syndicates/offenders/repeat offenders, narco hotspots, action against clandestine labs & synthetic drug networks, financial investigations, use of PITNDPS provisions.

🔷️ Identification of 50 critical under trial NDPS cases for effective monitoring along with coordinated focus on Bail monitoring & effective check on dual use prescriptions drug by all DLEAs & timely disposal of seized narcotics was also stressed upon.

🚨 NCB secures conviction of three inter-state drug traffickers in 2020 Jabalpur Ganja seizure case.

🔷 A Special NDPS Court, Jabalpur, has sentenced Arun Kumar Sharma, Ranjit Sharma & Ganga Choudhary—all residents of Koilwar, Aara, Bihar—to 15 years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 1.5 lakh each.

🔷 In November 2020, NCB intercepted a truck in the Barela Police Station area of Jabalpur & apprehended the traffickers, seizing 879.530 kg of Ganja.

📞 NCB urges citizens to report narcotics-related information through MANAS Helpline (Toll-Free: 1933). Informers’ identities are kept strictly confidential.
