It’s a shame there are still amendments and bill text that explicitly requires one to be in violation of law to benefit.

While Amdt 15 is not being considered, if it were to ever become law, someone here lawfully since age 1 would not benefit, but someone who here unlawfully at age 17 would get a green card.

Actions like the D3 waiver for daca recipients and dreamers cannot be claimed as also helping age outs.

There is no good reason this non-controversial issue remains unresolved. These are children whose parents have no immigration status problems and who are making major contributions to the country. Their kids lose status when they turn 21 only because green card quotas (set in 1990) are completely inadequate for our modern economy. Every Republican and Democrat privately agrees they deserve relief. It’s time to solve this problem. We can’t get agreement for a lot of what needs fixing. This should be the exception to that.

The Indians who came before us are the biggest culprit in this whole mess of green card backlog.

They should be the one who should go to congress and share why it's wrong to keep a legal immigrant in 100+ years of backlog.

Some of them act as if they have nothing to do with India.

They need to take responsibility and act as real leaders.

Just like Bill Ackman stood up for jewish people.

The ideology of being a 3rd class citizen is deeply ingrained in Indians in America.

We need to start thinking as leaders for the whole world because our ideology has always been one for all and all for one.

We believe in one consciousness.

Indians in America have to standup for truth.

I believe all these 1.8 million legal immigrants have to stand up for themselves.

Close mouths aren't fed in the world.

You have to stand up for your rights.

I know you enjoy coding, taking care of patients, working for NASA and what not.

But you need to know as you support American economy, America has a responsibility to you.

You are not a liability to this country.

You are the one building this country.

If you won't stand up today, the future generations will remember you as a coward.

Your kids are gonna suffer because of you.

Put yourself out of this situation and imagine for a second.

Where a human being gives labor to a civilization and pays taxes for 100+ years and doesn't have any rights on the land. This is immoral and a crime.

As a legal taxpayer, you have rights. Just read the preamble of the U.S constitution and you will understand what I am talking about.

As Marten Luther King said "You want to judged on the basis of your character not on the basis of your skin, country of origin or where you came from"

Even the American forefathers thought of America in this way.

You are asking to be given equal treatment based on your merit.

America is accountable to you for all the hard work that you pour in the American soil.

You deserve a better life for all that you do for America.

I know good Americans exist.

They will stand along with you in truth.

They know you are building America.

You have to stand up for your rights.
