Plumbers have been getting away with robbery for years, charging prices 200 - 400 percent higher than what it should be.

Change a shower pipe....40 minutes....customer provides materials......$1100.

That's more than $1100 an hour! What person makes more than $1100 an hour ????

Cost may not necessarily equate to minutes worked. A job may be quick but special skills & equipment may be needed.
Perhaps something extra was charged for liability reasons.

First they charge a service fee JUST to come out.

After evaluating, they quote a price FOUR times higher than it actually would cost!!
