Yes I know I’ve been gone here I’ve just been over on my Star Wars account. BG3 and the Veilguard will be special for me but it’s just not something I can play and focus on all the time.
Astarion’s going to be Ascended, Gale a narcissistic god, Karlach will be ‘searching for a cure’ but able to hang out, Lae’zel is just there, Shadowheart will have black hair but her good route, and Wyll will be a ten second gag in a flashback as he was turned into a lemure
EXCLUSIVE: Craig Mazin, co-creator of arguably the most acclaimed TV adaptation of a video game to date, HBO’s ‘The Last Of Us,’ will be taking on another hugely popular and acclaimed game title next, Larian Studios’ ‘Baldur’s Gate 3,’ which is set in the world of ‘Dungeons & Dragons.’
Unlike HBO’s ‘The Last Of Us,’ which retold the story from the PlayStation games, the ‘Baldur’s Gate’ TV series will be a continuation to the games, telling a story that takes place immediately after the events of ‘Baldur’s Gate 3,’ as the characters — old and new — are dealing with the ramifications of the events in the third game.

Baldur’s Gate is set to become a TV series at HBO, helmed by Craig Mazan from The Last of Us.
Show will continue the story of Baldur’s Gate 3 and those characters.
No word on Larian’s involvement or not.

btw they're NOT using anything trained on their own art lol, if they were to build their own model/data base, it would take an incredibly long time for it to give any usable results. lets think why do all these ai companies try SO HARD to scrape an insane amount of data rn lol
just saw the most beautiful print i wanted to buy but i went to the persons etsy shop and they were selling prints of every bg3 companion except for wyll
This smells like a massive coverup here, Swen. You could (and most likely will) choose questions that you can give answers to that you believe are good and fair and won’t actually address anyone’s true issues.
Hells, you did it to Wyll fans for 2+ years. We aren’t convinced.
That’s a lot of words there, Swen.
My questions are:
• Who is choosing the questions for the AMA? Are you filtering them beforehand? Will it be live to prevent that?
• Who will be allowed to answer? Will it be people you handpick or just random employees?
It’s been a week since we announced Divinity, our next RPG, and a lot has become lost in translation.
Larian’s DNA is agency. Everything we work towards is to the benefit of our teams, games, and players. A better work day, and a better game. Our successes come from empowering people to work in their own way and bring the best out of their skill & craft, so that we can make the best RPGs we can possibly make.
In that context, it would be irresponsible for us not to evaluate new technologies. However, our processes are always evolving, and where they are not efficient or fail to align with who we are, we will make changes.
To give you more insight, we’ll do an AMA featuring our different departments after the holiday break, in which you’ll get the opportunity to ask us any questions you have about Divinity and our dev process directly.
We’ll announce the date in the new year. In the meantime, I wish you all happy holidays!
You lost a lot of people’s goodwill after you and your company’s blatant treatment of Wyll and you continue to dig your own grave…buddy…you needed a PR manager two years ago.
“You don’t want peanut butter cookies? Ok! Don’t worry, i didn’t use peanut butter in these cookies —I did use the same bowl, pan, utensils and recipe to make the peanut butter cookies to make them. What do you mean you won’t eat them now? There’s no peanut butter in them!!”
You can claim there’s no AI in the finished product but when you use it as the framework for the finished product…it’s in the finished product, guys. It’s blatantly obvious it’s in the finished product.
