@HMRCcustomers Hi, I'm in an ordinary partnership and we want to close it. How do we do this? Is there a form we need? Self assessment has been completed.
Here's 3 phrases our tutor, Helena loves:
🇫🇷 Appeler un chat, un chat - "Call a cat a cat" (Like 'call a spade a spade')
🇪🇸 Encontrar tu media naranja - "Find your half orange" (Your perfect match)
🇪🇸 Ser uña y carne - "Be nail & flesh" (Inseparable!)
✨ Tips:
Être verbs require agreement with the subject:
Add -e for feminine
Add -s for plural
Examples:
Elle est allée (She went) – Allée matches feminine singular
Ils sont arrivés (They arrived) – Arrivés matches plural

🧠 Understanding the Basics:
1️⃣ Avoir (To Have)
Most verbs use avoir in the passé composé. Think of it as the default choice!
Examples:
J’ai mangé (I ate)
Nous avons fini (We finished)
Try these: danser, manger, commander and drop them in the comments.😃
Roxana's:
Arabic
Ya’aburnee (يـعـبـرنـي) - literally "you bury me." This is a deep expression of love and affection, wishing that someone would die before their loved one, as the thought of living without them is unbearable.

Roxana's :
Spanish
Sobremesa - Refers to the time spent lingering around the table after a meal, sharing conversation and enjoying each other's company. It's a cherished cultural practice in many Spanish-speaking countries.

Roxana's :
French
L’esprit de l’escalier - Literally translates to "the spirit of the staircase." This phrase describes the predicament of thinking of the perfect reply or comeback too late, usually after leaving a conversation.
