@Pack_Daddy I’m not sure that’s the way to look at it. Sometimes a change of scene is a good thing and IMO he’s the type of coach/personality that is needed for GB at this time. LaFleurs time in GB is up, and hopefully the org sees that as well.
@mattschneidman I don’t know why Gute gets a pass. The fans seem to think this is a mega talented roster that Lafleur is wasting. The packers do not have starting caliber players throughout the trenches and at cornerback. Micah injury was big, but he covered up a lot
@KenIngalls What’s the cap effect if they traded/released Gary this offseason? When is the realistic point to get off the Love contract where the dead cap isn’t astronomical?
@Peter_Bukowski Pete, he’s in year 6 and has a near top of market contract. He shouldn’t need to live in near perfect structure in order to thrive. He needs to be able to lift and overcome on some level. The line was awful yesterday - and so was Jordan Love. It’s okay to say it. He was bad.
@PackersNotes I respect your takes, and often see eye to eye with you. However, in this case, Shamar is arguably the player I most want GB taking. And James Pearce, a player you are high on is a player I’d least want them taking.
@jdheimsch@jasonjwilde@WISCTV_News3 So is having a pass rush from your 13th overall draft pick. Walker was a 7th round pick. He’s been a solid starter. They talk about him like he’s actively hurting the team. They need to be as harsh on their top picks.
@zachkruse2@Peter_Bukowski I would argue that the Packers are better off resigning Josh Myers to whatever (likely lower) deal that he will get than doing this Banks deal.
@Peter_Bukowski Peter, all the analytics in the world don’t change the fact so many fans of both GB, and the opposition, simply don’t trust or have any confidence in the ball being accurate, or the right decision when it leaves Love’s hand. Something is amiss with him, I wish it wasn’t.
@AaronNagler A lot to be excited about, but on the other side, using the 13th pick on LVN, extending Kenny and giving Rashan the bag certainly is looking bleak when playing good offensive lines/quarterbacks. Think they dump even more resources into the line?
@Peter_Bukowski I agree that Gary should be credited w/ a sack here and Lane with one given up. With that said, Lane absolutely dominated Rashan that entire game outside of this one weird, off-time play, so I think the pro-Rashan stance in this case is something GB defenders can move on from.
@AndyHermanNFL I’m not saying Joe Barry/Pettine were the answers - but at what point do people start realizing or at a minimum considering that maybe the GM just has not been good at bringing in defensive talent. Despite an incredible amount of resources put into it.
