To all our teaming youth across the country: you are not waiting for permission. You are inventing the future by the day, from classrooms to factory floors to online communities and in civic movements. Own it. Build networks. Fail fast and learn faster. Demand inclusion and practice compassion.
A little over seven months ago, we lost the most notable Nigerian polo player in the last 20 years.
This weekend, myself and other well-wishers gathered at the Abuja Guards Polo Club for the Abuja Polo Carnival and i was honored to play in the finals of the Dawule Baba Memorial Cup.
Dawule Baba was not just a giant in the Nigerian polo space; his career spanned the globe. From playing alongside King Charles in England to tournaments in Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, and all across Africa.
When he mounted his horses and took to the field, you were watching a master at work.
Although he’s left the field, his impact remains profound. Continue to rest in power teacher 🕊️
