@ChefTomKerridge We’re two miles from tier two and have seen our takeaway trade (which was hard to make work before neighbouring areas were opened up) now disappear. We’re even a Liverpool postcode so we’re having people trying to book constantly. Never felt so low 😩
Glad to see #gingy outside of the @InfoCricketers encouraging people to use the #handsanitizer. Great to see so many cafes, bars and restaurants open again. Business’s are really making an effort to keep us safe. Let’s repay their efforts and be sensible out there. #staysafe.
@GaryUsher_Chef Fantastic concept. I think it will work with the reach and delivery ability. We tried the other month but really difficult on a local level, market wasn’t quite there.. and is more labour intensive than people realise. Will defo be giving your service a go when I get a break 😅.
@pubspost @MENnewsdesk@gr8musicvenues@Heineken_UK Why is the number of MRO’s so low? Could it be that the legislation was not thought through and does not really benefit the pub operator , or could it be that the landlords are making it incredibly difficult and being as punitive as they can be with those who take the option?
@pubspost @MENnewsdesk@gr8musicvenues@Heineken_UK How are Star going to get anyone to take on that site if they force force him out. How are they ever going to get anything like £5k a month out of a pub that size?
The MRO option was brought in to help reduce pub closures. Maybe the government need to step in here.
@taijidubh @GaryUsher_Chef Most leases you take on in the industry require a personal guarantee of some description, whether it’s a ltd company or not.
Apparently I should take comfort that it’s the same with all insurance companies and everyone is in the same boat.
Nah, insurance companies should take responsibility. I’ve had an empty email from ours stating they will support businesses where they can. Let’s actually see it.
Thought for the day...
What are insurers giving back seen as so many businesses are shut, roads are empty... surely claims are down massively??
Ours won’t pay out for coronavirus despite covering ‘plague’ (no specific definition in any of their policy documents) cont....
Retrospectively they tell me ‘plague’ only refers to the Black Death.... which is great if we were in the 17th century 🤨.
Heard numerous politicians refer to coronavirus as a plague.
@BirchwoodCentre sorry I’ve just seen this. Been neglecting twitter recently 😬. If the meals worked ok we may be able to help again at some point in the next week or two.
Huge thank you to the @InfoCricketers for contributing 50 meals to our 'self-isolation doesn't have to mean social isolation' Project. Your meals will go a long way in supporting our local community and surrounding areas, THANK YOU AGAIN
Had an amazing Easter Sunday lunch from @InfoCricketers today. The kids were even more excited at being allowed to eat theirs straight from the takeaway boxes! Thanks too for the beautiful tulips from @Hartleysflowers to brighten up our day!
Thank you so much. The feedback has been so good and it really means a lot to the team! Tough times but we are so glad we have been able to provide a valuable service 😊
@InfoCricketers just wanted to say we have had a few deliveries from you now and they have been great. We had fish and chips yesterday and hotpots and lasagne today. Very tasty. Keep up the good work xxx
