Why do you think he often played as a winger? And you’ll find that most of the great midfielders are remembered most for the goals they scored

@bounou75666486 @thomashammond__ No it isn’t. Pedri is really good in the centre of the pitch, but those players you mentioned and the others I named were also good in the final third. Pedri has to add more in terms of attacking contribution to his game to be considered a great midfielder

@thomashammond__ That’s pretty unbelievable. Pedri is a good player and keeps the game ticking over, but De Bruyne is an all time great at the level of Zidane and Zico. I’d also have Pedri below Gerrard, Lampard, Toure and David Silva as midfielders we’ve seen in recent years

That is pretty plausible given how easy they were to get in the dark days, but the phrasing of season ticket holders did give the wrong impression
